Engineers were searching. RenewAire wasn't showing up.

In the summer of 2020, trade shows and in-person events disappeared almost overnight. RenewAire manufactures energy recovery ventilators — essential systems for indoor air quality in commercial buildings. Their products were technically superior, but their digital presence was virtually invisible. Competitors with inferior products were ranking in search. RenewAire's YouTube channel had minimal content and zero algorithmic traction.

What started as a crisis response evolved into a strategic advantage. Google began prioritizing video perspectives in search. RenewAire's growing library now feeds AI-powered search tools. A new generation of buyers began searching directly on YouTube to see products in action. The channel became a long-term moat — not a temporary workaround. In one example, a trade show promotion video reached nearly 30,000 views with 96.9% watch time completion.
